My baby said ugh!
I have 5 cats and none of them liked these. It’s a shame because one gets terrible furballs but hates every remedy I’ve tried. These also. I have to give him cod liver oil which he also hates but at least I can syringe it into his mouth poor baby. He hates the taste but loves the effect because hardly any more furballs and much more playful & kitten-like because he’s not feeling miserable with an uncomfortable tummy. Wanted him to like these so I could stop the cod liver oil but no luck. Other reviewers cats didn’t seem to like them much either. I wonder if there is actually a cat that does like them!

Brilliant
Brilliant product. My Cat was taking liquid paraffin from the vets, I didn't notice much of a difference and his appetite had reduced greatly. I started him on these and after 3 days he seems to be getting his appetite back and is in better form. It's also the only hairball remedy that he will eat. Ive tried many that he won't touch, I'm so glad I don't have to hide them inside ham. He really likes them and they seem to be helping. I would recommend.

Not to my cat’s taste.
Arrived safely, well packaged. I cannot tell you of they work or not as my cat refuses to eat them! Perhaps if they came in a fish or chicken flavour she might at least try one!

Smell good and both cats ate
I take supplements daily to help with my health so seems only natural I would give to my pets which are an important part of family.I have purchased quite a few products from this range for both my cats and dogs and been happy with results so when saw this was eager to try.I have 2 cats both seniors but the baby Rosie aged 14 is long haired and all his life has had a problem with hairballs.I brush him regular but he still coughs them up weekly and my female who is short haired will groom him occasionally ‘when their getting on’ and then she too coughs them up.Im getting more worried about blockages older they get and also it’s distressing for them to cough.I have purchased supplements previously to help with hairballs with varied success. These arrive in small tub with full ingredients on tub as well as contact details of company which is UK based. The dosage is 1 to 2 chews a day and there are 60 chews in tub.The chews themselves are small and star shaped they have a meaty smell and feel quite soft but firm to touch. My Male Rosie will eat anything and took it straight away and looked for a second but my female who is much wiser and suspicious wasn’t too sure, she sniffed and seemed interested but took then dropped,so I broke in half and offered on palm of hand she sniffed then took it and she ate it.My cats both have missing teeth but they managed to chew them ok.I don’t expect instant results but fact their both eat and previous experience with brand makes me hopeful.I have given full marks due to packaging, look and smell and fact they are reasonable price.I will review after 30days and if there has been no improvement with hair balls, I will edit and reduce rating but for now very happy and hopeful

Two of three cats ate readily and quickly
Sharing a house with three cats they have two favourite activities: preening themselves to keep their coats in meticulously good order and stuffing food at breakneck speed to ensure they get the lion’s share before being barged out of the way by another feline. These two activities sometimes come up against each other, with hairballs forming in the gut and indelicate eating habits meaning I have to to clean up regurgitated, partly digested food containing obvious hair on occasions – never a pleasant task. Spotting these Pet Science™ Hairball Aid for Cats chews offered for review under the Amazon Vine programme they immediately attracted my attention – anything that helps to dissolve hairballs which can cause discomfort and distress to a pet has to be commended.Supplied in a tub of 60 soft, squeezable chews each is a light brown six-sided star shape with a mild meaty smell that is certainly not overpowering. They are larger than typical cat treats at around 1.5cm wide by 1cm thick, and can either be given whole or crumbled over food to your cat’s preference. The product label states that each cat that has this issue should be given two chews per day, meaning this is a 30 day supply. It’s important to note that this is a complementary food supplement, not a replacement. The prime constituents are glycerine which helps the chews retain moisture and acts as a solvent of the hairball; Brewer’s Yeast which promotes healthy skin and fur, potentially stopping pets that have a skin condition from over washing; Potato Flake, a binding agent; Linseed Oil which is rich in Omega-3 oil and help make a coat shiny; Psylium which is a laxative and so tackles potential blockages; Rape Seed Oil which adds flavour and is again rich in Omega oils; Pumpkin Seeds, a rich source of protein and likely to induce your cat to eat the chew; Tapioca which improves digestion; and Maltodextrin which triggers areas of the brain associated with reward, again an inducement for your cat to eat the chew. There are additives designed to make the chews smell more palatable to your pet, with chicken liver powder and bacon powder included.Examining the dietary analysis the chews contain 11.1% protein, 14.0% fat, 16.8% moisture and, crucial in a cat’s diet, 3.4% ash and 2.7% fibre, the balance presumably bulking agents. I was encouraged to read on that label that the product is manufactured to UK Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines, regulations which medicine manufacturers have to comply with requiring products to be of consistent high quality, be appropriate to their intended use, and meet the requirements of the marketing authorisation or product specification. Two of my three cats ate these chews readily and quickly, judging them to be treats. The third, older cat sniffed at her chew suspiciously and wouldn’t eat it. This pattern has repeated upon offering them subsequently and isn’t a bad success rate as the chews won’t go to waste. The cats are all shorthaired and I’ve noticed that they are regurgitating food much less frequently since starting the course, which is a bonus. I think that take-up rate is reasonable and would judge the trial as broadly a win.
