Amazing Quality Screen for Photographers/Artists
Purchased this monitor because a colleague of mine (photographer) recommended it. I'm so happy I went with his recommendation and purchased it. It has been an amazing additional to my work station. I'm able to connect my 16" Macbook Pro via USB-C cable and work on all my projects. Its bright, the color is accurate, and I love the hood that comes with the monitor to block out additional light around the screen. I'd recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a great quality monitor for editing/working on a computer as a creative. The matte finish of the screen cuts down on glare, the height adjustability is great. I'd say this monitor compares to that of the 27" EIZO, but much less expensive but same quality.

A Wonderful 27" Monitor With Accurate Color In 2560x1440 resolution
I really like this monitor. 2560x1440 really looks nice. Just make sure your laptop can support this resolution. My older HP 8740 and Dell Inspiron do NOT. My Lenovo P53 does. I'm a photographer, so I notice subtle color variations. This monitor produces a georgeous picture and comes color calibrated by a technician from the factory. It has a nifty "hockey puck" wheel that allows the user to change color settings or brightness with a quick push of a button or turn of a dial. I am really liking this feature.I am a picky person, and I highly recommend this monitor.

Great monitor for photographers!
So versatile. It can be raised or lowered in height. The monitor can be turned easily for portrait or landscape mode. The 4K resolution is awesome but just remember some programs (such as photoshop) will appear very small but there are ways to change that. Colors can be Adobe RGB or sRGB or black&white. Screen is non-glare and also comes with shields that attach or detach easily. Full disclosure - I returned the one from Amazon because I couldn't get it to work on my new computer. Hindsight - I think it was user error. I did buy it directly from the BenQ site so I would have access to tech support.

Superb picture quality
Okay here is the bad first. Calibration out of the box is awful. I don't know why the manufacturer makes such a big deal about the factory calibration when it is not good. Display is darker at the edges which I do not like but apparently is typical for this type of display. The monitor comes with several video cables, but does not come with an HDMI to HDMI cable nor does it come with a Display Port to Display Port cable. It comes with a mini Display Port to full display port cable, a USB-C cable, and a USB-A cable but none of these cables worked to connect to my Dell desktop computer. I had to go out and get my own Display Port and HDMI cables. I don't understand why at this price point these are not included. Another thing I do not like is the base of the stand. The base extends around four inches out from under the monitor causing me to place the monitor further away to fit a keyboard in front. This might not be a problem for most people but for me it is an issue because I have lousy eyesight. I found a smaller profile keyboard to fit.And here are the positives. Color and image quality is beautiful after calibrating with my Datacolor Spyder Elite 4. The build of the monitor is excellent. The monitor is heavy but there is a handle at the top of the stand which is a nice feature. The monitor has a lot of features including the hotkey puck which is great to switch between color profiles without having to go into the monitor's menus.Overall I would say that this is a good purchase for me and I do recommend the monitor,

An absolute game changer for photo editing
Before purchasing this monitor I was having a very Tigua time getting accurate colors on my photos when i was editing them in Lightroom and Photoshop. This monitor is absolutely a game changer. The screen is a bit smaller and I’m hindsight I should of just spent the extra couple hundred to upgrade in size but outside of that, for the price and quality, this monitor is worth the purchase.

Hardware Calibration Doesn't Work
There are PLENTY of good, mainstream brand, larger size and lower priced 4K monitors out there. The reason for anyone to consider this 2k BenQ monitor is because of its (claimed) capability for hardware calibration so that you don't have to tie your display to any one particular system. But alas, BenQ's proprietary software for such calibration either does not work at all or just randomly works on random systems, you are at the complete mercy of BenQ's dark art! For example, no matter what I do I can never get my (supposedly compatible) i1 Display Pro colorimeter recognized by either of BenQ's calibration software (PME or PMU), I'm permanently stuck at their initial app screen! It turns out these BenQ "1st party" calibrators (that are required for performing hardware calibration) have known conflicts to many popular 3rd party monitor drivers that might have been previously or inadvertently embedded in your system. Apparently and for whatever dark reason BenQ refuses to acknowledge the existence such conflicts or bugs.BenQ's support is of no help either, the support phone listed on its website is of an overseas number (from Taiwan), the live chat is a dead end. Even if/when you do get a very tardy response from BenQ's email support, the "answer" is never relevant but WORSE, it blatantly omits and ignores your questions altogether as if you have never asked! This so-called "support" is nothing but a pretense of service (or worse a deliberated scam)! If I knew this before I wouldn't have bought this monitor. No degree of "hardware calibration" is worth of such frustration!

Beautiful image quality WOW!
I have been using the BenQ sw240 monitor for 3 years. I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Initially I purchased both the BenQ sw240 and the ViewSonic. THE ViewSonic was cheaper and I really wanted to keep it, but the BenQ screen quality blew the ViewSonic out of the water, with its clarity and color, and there was no comparison. No regrets paying the $399 for the BenQ.I have some issues initially setting it up but the BenQ tech support was actually very helpful to me and quickly responsive.
