I soak everything in it.
Excellent rust preventative. Its water soluable (I still wear protective gloves, 5 mil ). Whether its a brand new metal tool, device, or rusted tool, I dip it or soak it in Rust Bandit. (For rusted items, I soak it in Evapo-rust, and then soak in Rust Bandit. A one-two punch.)
