it said that it was a hard shell which is not exactly true, I was expecting it to be more solid...also the photo is deceiving because the size of elastics is off...it is very tight to put lipsticks into...works nice for lip gloss, but other section is not tight enough for liner pencil. It serves it purpose and I am using it, but had I seen it first in person I probably would have gone a different route
