Highly recommend
Great for air travel, i open up one side while seated to give more room for my kitty. The mesh is durable and resistant to clawing. The inside is soft and comfortable.

Brilliant!
Thais bag rocks! I’ve traveled between the US and Korea and to multiple different states in the US. Best bag ever! And my kitty loves it so much shell randomly go sleep in it if I have it out. The only pet carrier I’ll use now, and I’ve tried tons! For reference, my kitty is 2 1/2 yrs old and weighs 9 lbs, so all smaller sized cat.Great quality stitching, zippers, and mesh. Love the expansions. It’s a perfect size for on most airplanes! Love the pockets!

Great Bag
this bag is great with the expandable sides.Even tough it is FAA approved, it did not fit under my seat with Swiss. But I did notice that the seats have gotten smaller in the last couple of years, so I assume that they lowered them as well. Might we worth checking with your airlines for the seat dimensions. Thankfully my flight was not booked solid, so I was able to keep the bag next to me most of the time.

Good Airline Carrier
I bought this after much searching for a carrier to get my big (~12 lb) cat on an American Airlines flight, which requires the carrier fit under the seat. This carrier fit, with some effort and scrunching, lengthwise and sticking out a bit under my feet. It was the larger sort of Embraer and in the cheap seats, if that makes any sense to you.Walking around, it holds its shape better than most soft carriers I've seen. The zippers and fittings seem sturdy and that little pocket was handy. I like the seat belt straps, and the carrier does fit athwartships in a coach seat. The mesh on the front was great for my cat to see where I was walking, I think he liked it. Turn it the other way and he can half hide behind the pocket.I gave it four stars because of a quirk of the side ports: If you plan to open and close the ports (in my case, to give him space while waiting in the terminal but close up for carrying), you have to unzip or completely remove the "fur" internal side panels. These panels hold back the folded up gauze, which by itself bunches up and encroaches the cat's space at the top. My cat, who ordinarily is not the kind to get under blankets, did not mind the gauze. Had I left the panels in and unzipped, they'd basically be a blanket freely flopping around when being carried, and I would have no real way to ensure they get flipped down to be the floor cushion on the side ports. You have to reach IN to the carrier to zip or unzip the fur panels. So you have to plan ahead how you'll deploy or not deploy the side ports.

Great product
This little pet carrier showed up promptly and absolutely fits the bill. I like it and so does our little dog. OK that’s a lie. Our dog hates being inside of it! But it really is a good pet carrier.

12 hour flight across country - two cats in one carrier - this was our answer!
This carrier was a life saver. We have three cats/two humans, allowed only one carrier per person, but had to get those cats across country for a move. First, we made sure Frontier Airlines would allow us to put two cats in one carrier, which they did. But I would have liked to be assured about a few things when I bought this carrier, so that is why I am writing this review. We put our two smaller cats in this carrier (their total weight about 21 pounds). Third cat was in second carrier. The flight that started at 7 hours got delayed and ended up being 12 hours with the layover, so it was really tough for all. Without this carrier (and kitty sedation), I don't know how we would have done it. It is a bit heavy because it is very sturdy, but carrying 21 pounds of cats inside made the sturdiness essential. Secondly, it has a cushy pad inside. Thirdly, the two sides open up and are carpeted. We were able to open up the sides so the two cats could have room to stretch out at all times except when we were actually carrying them. So, in the terminal, and on the flight, we opened up the sides. So, in case you are wondering if an airline will allow this carrier - Frontier definitely does. We did also purchase extra leg room, which helped. This is a wonderful carrier if you have to put cats/small dogs through the torture of flying.

Excellent Carrier for Most Airlines
When I needed to transport a cat across the country, I was very confused as to which pet carrier to choose. The one I normally use was too large for most airlines, so I needed to get something new. (I can't stress enough that it helps to call the airline and get dimensions for your actual plane or I would have bought a carrier that was too big.) I wanted one that was both soft-sided, but very sturdy. The reinforcing plastic bars in this carrier were a perfect compromise since they can be removed if needed. I was also drawn to the expandable sides, which were wonderful to have as well. The carrier held up very well under the circumstances (racing across the entire Atlanta airport to make a connection) and I felt that my cat was still comfortable even though she needed to be squeezed into the smaller space available under the seat in an older plane. The cat was about 13 lbs. at the time and decently tall, so she would normally need a larger carrier for a road trip, etc., but due to the restrictions imposed by the airline, this was the biggest I was allowed. She was a little bit cramped, which is not ideal normally. Since the vet gave us pills to calm her, she spent most of her time curled up asleep during the flights and I was able to use the expanders to give her more room when were on the ground - that was essential!I would very much recommend this carrier in the future for such travel.

Great while it lasted
Well I bought this bag to shuttle my dog too and from France. It was fine and works great but then the mesh started to rip and ripped completely open before we could get back home. The bag was less than a year so I hoped to use the warranty to help replace the bag however there is no way to contact them on Amazon at the time and emails go unread, phone messages unanswered. So now we are past the 2 year mark. We ordered from a different company now. Very disappointed
